Sedona/Verde Valley Pride and co-host PFLAG is excited to announce our 4th Annual PRIDE Family Picnic in the Park.

River Front Park in Cottonwood will be the place to be on April 25, 2015 from 11am to 3pm for a good old-fashioned barbeque and picnic tailored for the whole family. Activities will include group games like corn hole, hula hoops and volleyball.

The picnic is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend!

Come ready to chow down and make a great contribution to our general fund all at once! Our all-you-can-eat plates will be available for $5 each. Randall’s Restaurant, Old Town Red Rooster, Verde Lea Market, Ms. Masaki, Oaxaca Restaurant, and Main Street Pizzeria will be making food donations for lunch, so come armed with your appetite!

Larry Dunn Anthology of Earth Wind & Fire to kick off 21st Annual Sedona International Film Festival, Feb. 20

SEDONA, Ariz. (Feb. 4, 2015): The 21st annual Sedona International Film Festival is kicking off the weeklong schedule of 160 films, workshops, panels and events with The Larry Dunn Anthology of Earth Wind & Fire, 12 musicians and singers and one magical night of music on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

Former keyboard mastermind for Earth Wind & Fire (EW&F), Dunn wrote, produced and arranged many of the band’s legendary hits from 1972 to 1983. Last year, he performed, produced and arranged three songs on Earth Wind & Fire’s latest album, “Now, Then & Forever”. Continue reading

The 21st annual Sedona International Film Festival will feature 160 documentaries, features, shorts, Academy Award nominees and specialty films over nine days with a special tribute celebrating the 100th birthday of director and actor Orson Welles, Feb. 21-March 1.

Highlighting this year’s festival will be a series of screenings and retrospectives of Welles’ work coordinated by his daughter, Beatrice, who lives in Sedona. She will be joined by renowned film critic and family friend Jeffrey Lyons.  The full schedule of films, workshops, panel discussions and events will be announced early in 2015. Continue reading
